It should taste even better, if the soup was brought to boil again. The dark brownish soup was herbal sweet savoury, in that order. The distinctive kum kum sweet taste of dang gui and liquorice was prominent. The meat on the rib was fall-off-the-bone tender. Its tender fibres were well infused with herbal sweet flavours. Fans of herbal bak kut teh will like this. I am more of the savoury and peppery bak kut teh type of guy, but at this COVID-19 time, I do appreciate some herbs to strengthen my immune system.

MR WU's signature braised pork belly. Skin, fat and meat all tenderly juicy and tasted savoury sweet.

Two braised tea eggs - they tasted savoury sweet similar to the braised pork belly with only subtle tea fragrance after being packed in the same box with the braised pork 😄

Sweet and sour fried fish fillet. Most of the flavours came from the savoury sweet slightly tangy sauce. The tender chewy fried fish fillet enveloped in golden-reddish sauce still had some residual crispness.
